Our Local Client-Side Static QR Guarantee

When you generate a free static QR code on QRGen, the encoding and rendering occurs directly inside your browser via local JavaScript. Your content is never stored on our database or sold to third parties.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

In accordance with privacy-by-design standards (PRD Section 22):

  • We do NOT store names, phone numbers, or email addresses from dynamic scan events.
  • We do NOT track exact GPS coordinates of scanners.
  • We do NOT use cross-site advertising tracking cookies or fingerprinting.
  • We do NOT store raw IP addresses; all IPs are irreversibly hashed with salt for unique count calculations.

2. Dynamic QR Scan Analytics

For paid Dynamic QR code tracking, we collect only high-level operational metrics:

  • Approximate country, region, and city derived from edge server headers.
  • Device hardware type (mobile, tablet, desktop).
  • Operating system (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Browser user-agent family (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).
  • Timestamp of scan.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

You have full control over your account. You can delete dynamic QR codes, campaigns, or request complete account erasure from your settings panel at any time.
